i need to change the shutoff valve on my outdoor heating oil tank.
problem is...how do l drain the oil already in the tank...and drain it into
what type of container...then how do l get the oil back into the tank once
the valve is replaced?????
I would ask the people that deliver your fuel. They often have
the ability to pump out a tank. Maybe they can pump it out and then refill
it.
I know they do work like that for cleaning or replacement purposes. I can
not advise on costs.

IF YOU HAVENT HAD ANYTHING BUT HEATING OIL IN THE TANK. hook a
good shop vac to the fill side. plug off the vent. turn on your vac and
disconnect the line to see if you have enough vac to keep it from running
out. if you do prepare your new valve remove the old one and install the
new one.
