I filled the oil tank on my lawnmower with gasoline by mistake. What do I do now?

Yeah l know...really stupid. I am sorry.
I am not very good with

machines and l did not realize there were two separate tanks, so l filled

Remove the plug. Let the tank air dry. Pull the motor over

several times to get the oil back into the system, after refilling the

do not run it. empty the oil-tank. drain the gasoline from oil

tank. refill with oil, turn over a few times , then drain oil. now put in

Drain all the Gasoline from the Oil tank.

Then refill the oil tank with #30 motor oil.

just drain, and leave the cap and the plug off, gas will

evaporate, so it wont hurt, them refill with fresh new oil.

there is a plug under the mower, near the shaft that holds the blade, most

this is the oil drain hole. put the mower up on something & put an oil pan

under it. take the plug out & open the fill cap & the oil(and gas) will

drain right out. put the plug back in relitively tight & fill it back up  
with something like 5w-30 (or just use 87 octane ;-) the mower should be  
okay as long as you didn't try to run it for too long with the gas in the  
oil.  
 
ps, you should change the oil every fall. do it in the fall so the acids  
that build up in the oil will not slowly eat the inside of the engine away  
over the winter. you will also wan't to make sure that you don't leave gas
